Professor Melissa Dinverno has been awarded the CAHI Grant in Support of Research + Creative Activity to host the From Exile to the Center: The Archive of Federico García Lorca exhibit in Granada. This is related to her book project, entitled “Deconstructing Lorca: Identity, Culture and Nation in Contemporary Spain,” which explores the degree to which Spain’s transition from dictatorship to democracy in 1975 contributed to rethinking Federico García Lorca as cultural icon.
